The Montclair Theater Night Awards celebrate excellence in high school theater across New Jersey and is the state’s only award ceremony dedicated to non-musical productions. Northern Highlands’ fall production of The Crucible earned an impressive 13 nominations.

At last night’s ceremony, the production received the following honors:
• Outstanding Achievement by a Leading Actor: Henry Roberts as John Proctor
• Outstanding Acting Ensemble: Mrs. Strang-Wolf and the Northern Highlands Theater Company

If you saw The Crucible, you know the entire cast remained on stage throughout the production, contributing to the storytelling in a powerful and unique way. This was truly an ensemble effort, strengthened by the cast and crew’s shared experiences and dedication throughout the process.

Please join us in congratulating Henry Roberts, Mrs. Strang-Wolf, and the entire cast, crew, and production team, including Mr. Heissler, Ms. Lagan, and Mrs. Allen, on this outstanding achievement!

Mr. Mugno has been inspiring students in Engineering and Architectural Design at Northern Highlands for over 33 years. One of his most meaningful traditions is “Pennant Day,” where seniors proudly share the colleges they’ll be attending to pursue engineering and related fields.

Having worked with many of these students for more than three years, Mr. Mugno has played a lasting role in shaping their journeys. His dedication, passion, and commitment to excellence have left a profound impact on generations of students.

As this marks his final year at Northern Highlands, this Pennant Day is especially meaningful. Mr. Mugno is truly a legend, and his legacy will continue through the many students he has inspired.

Congratulations to all of our seniors as they take this exciting next step!
