Congratulations to C/2LT Ryan McDermott! We are incredibly proud to recognize Cadet Second Lieutenant Ryan McDermott of the Walter Schirra Squadron in Mahwah, NJ, for earning the prestigious Brigadier General Billy Mitchell Award.
This milestone marks the completion of Phase II of the Civil Air Patrol Cadet Program and signifies promotion to cadet officer status. It requires commitment, leadership growth, aerospace proficiency, physical fitness, and successful completion of encampment.
Only about 15% of CAP cadets nationwide achieve the Mitchell Award, making this a truly outstanding accomplishment.
Please join us in congratulating C/2LT McDermott for his hard work, perseverance, and dedication to excellence.
