Newspaper Collections
If you need articles from the New York Times or other newspaper websites that want you to pay for articles, don’t. You have access to that content free through this database. Copy and paste the title of the article you want into the search box, and it will usually be there.
Note: Sometimes the article title changes on the New York Times website throughout the day. If your article doesn’t come up, try searching by the author and filtering the results as “Most Recent.” If the content is web-only, it will may appear here, and some publications have a one-day embargo.

National Newspapers includes full text (with some exceptions) of hundreds of American and international newspapers, including:

Custom Newspapers has the Bergen Record, Star Ledger, and many other newspapers around the country, plus full-text newspapers from the United Kingdom. Note: They are not current with the New York Times and the Record. There is an embargo (waiting period). This is fine for historical research, but if you need today’s articles from the New York Times, use National Newspapers instead.

This database provides full-text access to thousands of general and scholarly periodicals covering a broad range of disciplines including general reference, business, education, health, general science, multi-cultural issues and much more. This database also features selections from many reference books, primary documents, and photographs.
These databases contain many kinds of information, but also link to thousands of magazines and journals. Choose a database related to your topic (i.e. Science Resource Center for science or health articles), search your topic, then click the Magazines, Newspapers, or Academic Journals tabs to see the articles. Usually, clicking on the title brings you to the full article, but for some, you may need to click on the symbol to see the PDF.

JSTOR is a digital library for scholars, researchers, and students. It provides access to more than 12 million peer-reviewed academic journal articles, books, and primary sources in 75 disciplines.
