RE: Health and Safety of our Students and Staff

We hope that you have had the opportunity to rest, relax, recharge, and spend time with family and friends over the holiday break. As we return to school tomorrow, January 2, we look forward to a smooth closing of the first semester and are excited for a productive second semester.
As we welcome 2023, we are thankful for the school year we have had thus far. Our staff has done a remarkable job guiding our students to succeed and contribute to their full potential. We will continue to make certain that our school environment is conducive to a positive and rewarding educational experience. Of course, the health and safety of our students and staff are our priority, and we will continue to monitor any health concerns related to Covid-19.
Knowing that there were family gatherings taking place over the break, we are asking parents and students to remain vigilant and continue to do their part to prevent any outbreaks in our communities by adhering to the following:
- Please keep your child home if they are not feeling well.
- If your child has been tested for COVID-19 as a result of exhibiting symptoms and you are awaiting test results, DO NOT send your child to school until the test results are received.
- Students who test positive must isolate for five days.
- Please contact our school nurse, Mrs. Rutkowski, with a positive test result at rutkowskia@northernhighlands.org.
As always, we appreciate your support and understanding. Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.
Wishing you all a safe and healthy New Year!!
