Program Updates

Charger
Some students had trouble keeping track of the power charger.  When a charger  was found, there was no unique identifier on it determining to which student it belonged.  To address this, the District has engraved unique ID numbers on the chargers.  The ID number for each will be recorded in our student information system as students are issued their equipment in August.  If a student alters the engraved number so it is not legible (by scratching it off, coloring it in, etc.),  the student will be responsible for purchasing a replacement charger.

Note: If a student turns in a charger with the wrong ID number, the charger will be returned to the appropriate student.  The student handing in the charger will be responsible for finding his/her assigned charger or will be charged the replacement fee.

Stylus
Like the charger, the District has engraved unique ID numbers onto each stylus.  In addition, the tether that was used to attach the stylus to the case did not hold up as well as we hoped.  Many students felt the tether was cumbersome and was often inadvertently snagged. Therefore, the district will be removing the tether from the case and stylus.  The District expects students to find a suitable location to store the stylus when not in use.  A suitable location could be a pen case or front pocket of a backpack, much like a student would store a pen/pencil.  If a student alters the engraved number so it is not legible (i.e., scratching it off, coloring it in, etc.),  the student will be responsible for purchasing a replacement stylus.

Note: If a student turns in a stylus with the wrong ID number, the stylus will be returned to the appropriate student.  The student handing in the stylus will be responsible for finding his/her assigned stylus or will be charged the replacement fee.
