•    If you are interested in having me formally rave about what a wonderful student you are in a letter to colleges, please complete the following as soon as possible.

       Remember, the more time you give me, the more of a chance I will be able to complete the request.  September-November is extremely busy for me with school and the Fall Play.  I will do    everything I can to complete all requests, but the more time you give me, the more likely it is that I will be able to help you.

       So…please do the following to help me write the best possible recommendation:

             1.    Meet with me in person and ask me informally.

             2.    If I am able to do it, please send me an e-mail with a formal request and the following information:

                a.    the class and school year in which you had me as a teacher;

                b.    what your favorite part about that class was.  It would be best to focus on particular moments, assignments which you did particularly well on, etc.  Be specific;

                c.     what your strengths as a student are;

                d.    what extra-curricular activities you are involved in, both in and out of school;

             3.   Give me an up-to-date form with the schools and deadlines;

             4.    If you need me to mail hard copies of letters, please provide me with all required stamped and addressed letters in a single folder with your name on the front.

              5.    Keep me updated with any adjustments and changes, in terms of schools to which you are applying, deadlines, or anything else.

               6.   Let me know as you hear back from schools!

    Thank you!

    Mr. Kiely
