What You Need for Class:  Bring a notebook and pen to class every day.

Grading Policy:  All assignments I give are worth a certain number of points.  Your final grade will simply be the total number of points you accumulate in the quarter and divide it by the total number of points it was possible to earn during the quarter.

Tests:  My tests are usually a combination of multiple choice, fill-ins, and short answer questions.  These will be able to test your understanding of procedures and application of knowledge.  If you are absent on the day of a quiz or test, I will expect you to take it the first day you return to class. There is some flexibility to this.

Quizzes:  I will give several based on the notes and discussions given in class.  Some will NOT be announced.

Current Events:  We will discuss current events in emergency situations and parenting.  Articles may be assigned for a reaction paper.

Schoolwires: All assignments, quizzes, tests will be posted on my site.  If you are absent, it is your responsibility to check my site to stay current in class.

Cheating:   I have no tolerance for academic dishonesty. I will enforce the school policy should this take place in my class.

Behavior:  Be polite and respectful at all times to your classmates and teachers. If you want to be treated as an adult, then act like an adult.  Be responsible for your actions!  Poor behavior in class will not be tolerated.  No food is allowed in class.

Attendance:  You can miss a lot when you are not in class.  Do not ask to go to guidance, see another teacher, or go finish work in another class.
