Bienvenido- Spanish -- Bienvenue- French -- Bemvindo- Portuguese -- Benevenuto- Italian -- Salve- Latin -- GRADING POLICY The grading system is as follows: TESTS/PROJECTS - 40 % QUIZZES - 30 % HOMEWORK - 15 % CLASS PARTICIPATION & PREPARATION - 15 % MATERIALS NEEDED DAILY Pencil & Pen Covered textbook 3-ring Binder with dividers to label notes 3 ring hole puncher (to maintain in your binder) English-Spanish Dictionary *(not mandatory, but strongly recommended) EXPECTATIONS Respect & keeping an open-mind is key to a successful learning environment. Come to class prepared. Homework is to be handed in on time & in MLA format. Homework a day late is not accepted unlesss there is a serious issue/illness (please inform me). If you are absent, you are responsible to make-up any work missed including tests, quizzes and/or class assignments. Make up tests/quizzes within 5 school days of your absence. (Under extenuating circumstances, an e-mail/note signed from your guardian is required.) Check Schoolwire DAILY for tests/quizzes/homework/announcements. Water in a clear bottle is permitted. No gum, no soda, no food. Please follow all rules & regulations in your student handbook. I am available for extra help by appointment. If you need extra help, please do not hesitate to ask either personally or via e-mail! My door is always open.
